Nancy O'Dell's debut position in the broadcasting industry was as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was an anchor for morning news at WCBD TV and was the crime reporter. When she was in Charleston O'Dell's reporting on the lenient police approach towards DUI cases caused a State Law Enforcement Division investigation that led to State authorities issuing an even more strict directive on the instances. Ms. O'Dell was awarded the Best Report of the Award from the Associated Press for South Carolina's media. O'Dell then worked for NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as an investigative journalist, before she joined Access Hollywood in the role of co-anchor for the weekend. O'Dell is a leading anchor at Access Hollywood. In addition, she contributes to NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She's covered events such as The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys and The Golden Globe Awards as in addition to hosting a series of pre-show arrivals for The Emmys and the Golden Globes. She has also hosted the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
